2011 UKICRS Symposium
9.30am - 4.30pm Wednesday 13 April 2011
Great Hall, Lanyon Building, Queen's University Belfast
University Road, Belfast BT7 1NN
It’s been eight years since UKICRS last hosted its annual symposium at the Queen’s University Belfast. In 2011, the symposium is coming back to Queen’s, to be held in the Victorian splendour of the Lanyon Builidng’s ‘Great Hall’. Restored in 2002 at a cost of £2.5 million, the Great Hall will provide a prestigious backdrop for this year’s meeting.
The UKICRS committee recently re-evaluated the annual symposium, and decided that greater focus should be placed on encouraging participation of postgraduate students within the fields of controlled release and drug delivery. As a result, the 2011 meeting is geared towards ensuring that postgraduate students have ample opportunity to network and present their research in a friendly and supportive environment. There are eleven 15-min oral presentation slots up for grabs (get your abstracts in early!), and extended poster sessions with students helping to select the best posters. We do hope that you like the change of emphasis.
Everything you need to know about the symposium, including abstract submission, registration and travel information, is detailed here on the website - see the sub-navigation menu at the top of this page.
