UKICRS is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered UK charity (Charity number: 1109176). Registration fees for meeting attendance are charged to cover the often considerable costs associated with hosting scientific meetings, including room/venue hire costs, food costs, and the payment of limited speaker expenses (where appropriate). Also, any additional monies generated from these meetings is reinvested in other UKICRS activities, such as production of the annual Newsletter. We do make every effort to keep costs to a minimum, in a bid to encourage attendance and participation by younger members, including postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers.
